Clubs' Fair 2010

By Lovely Lim Recio, BA401P

Love is in the air at STI!

It is every year that STI College Novaliches holds its annual Clubs' Fair for unwinding the students and professors from tons of workloads and stress. Every club organized within the institution was appointed to convene with an activity that will not only be reveled in but also be acquired knowledge or output from. Wherein us, the duly officers of e-FMS, together with our adviser, came up with the idea of having to conclude a singing contest (solo and duet), a dating game (a post valentine special), and a seminar (chocolate-making seminar) which not only endeavors to bring about amusement but also productivity and experience for our students; most especially our club members.

03 March 2010. As the Clubs' Fair 2010 commenced and different activities emerged inside the walls of STI, the organizers dealt with the influx of students rushing in to bask themselves with the different events held.

e-FMS's Summer Lovin'

After all the sweat and hard work dedicated by our officers and volunteer members from making the event possible, the activities held by e-FMS resulted to a total blockbuster! But evidently what captured most of our students' attentions was the dating game special wherein a searcher finds his/her love interest via judging the answers to be given by our three searchees from a prearranged set of questions and tasks prepared by the organizers. Two batches were set up in this event.

The first batch had a male searcher, Joel dela Cruz, an HRS student. Among the searchees in this batch were two e-fMS's members - Jobelle Montecillo and Mary Mhae Esparas both from BA201P. Joel ended up picking Mary Mhae at the culmination of their segment. The second had Karla Jacelyn Boiser as a searcher, BA601E student. Karla ultimately fell for the answers of a BSIT student, Arelle Sison.

The searcher and his/her chosen searchee were to be given a chance to have an exclusive date for two in a romantic restaurant wherein they would be alloted time to bond and actually get to know each other better.

The quixotic date was held at Buckaroo's SM Fairview wherein our participants indulged themselves with the restaurant's finest sumptuous repasts. Satisfaction really been manifested on that moment.

The said undertaking was an absolute triumph; our participants have really relished from their experience, and even hoped for another round.

We would like to acknowledge our duly elected officers (Lovely, Janina, Vincent, Damsel, Kenny, & Adam), volunteer members from BA601E, non-officer emcees and program partakers (Ishi, Thamara, Saki, Rio & Rhyan), our events' participants, the judges for solo and duet singing contests - Prof. Abalajen, Mr. Alcalde, Ms. D. Colili, and Mr. Dela Torre, the presence of Mr. Baraquio and our adviser Dr. Adan for making this event possible and a definite success.

Another accomplishment has been entitled to us all! Viva e-FMS!
