Speech is much-appreciated as a medium of communication in a competitive world. That's the rationale for this year's "Speech Festival" where the students get the chance to show their hidden talents in delivering speeches. Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Cristina Colili, Prof. Don Bautista, and Prof. Edwin Superable. The Speech Fest 2009 includes delivering declamation pieces like "Despair of Judas" and "A Good Thief" and a Grand Debate which tackles differerent controversial social issues.
Students from different programs like BSIT, BSCS, ASCT, HRS, and BSBA competed against one another. Titles at stake include the "Best Declaimer", "Best Debater" and "Overall Best Debating Team". All students had done their jobs well during the Declamation Contest which was held on October 24, 2009 and sections from the said programs had also shown their best during the Grand Debate held last October 26.
Once again, BSBA students thrived!
Cheyser Grace Dacion and Max Valdez were recognized as the "Best Male and Female Declaimer" for BA301P. Moreover, BA301P also bagged the "Overall Best Debating Team" for this year's Speech Fest. The team includes Lovely Recio as the group leader with members Jenelma Socias, Alayssa Mae Ballucanag, Vincent Ivan Patrick Arguelles, and Kenny Kelvin Medina. Consequently, Jenelma Socias was declared as the overall "Best Debater".
Congratulations to us all!!!
