Enchanting Experience

It was 3 o'clock in the morning when my cellphone rang, the signal for me to prepare - dress up, comb my hair, brush my teeth, prepare my stuffs, and head on to the school to meet up with my classmates. It seemed that everyone was very excited to celebrate STI's 26th anniversary at Enchanted Kingdom.

When we arrived at the place, it was really crowded, every rides were occupied, and sadly we did not manage to try them all. STIers scatter all over the place. It was a good feeling to see new faces and old acquiantances from different STI schools. Though the weather was very unpredictable that day, everyone still had a great time. Who would not?

Few hours after lunch time, the Talent Search started. There were the Battle of the Bands, Hataw Sayaw, Solo Idol, and the much-awaited Mr. & Ms. STI where our very own Jasper Mariz Ishiwata competed along with candidates from other STI Colleges.

The dawning of the day became the opening of Enchanted Kingdom's new face. The lights were glowing everywhere and it seemed like it was a new place - different from what it was a while ago. What a beautiful scenery - we decided to take a walk.

And finally, the fireworks display. It was a great view; everyone gazed up at the sky and watched in awe. A good way to end the night. It was time to go home and everyone in the bus looked very exhausted.

Upon reaching home, I lay in my bed, tired yet happy. It was a hell of an experience I had there...

Ishi Did It Again

By: Kenny Kelvin Medina, BA301P

BSBA student Jasper Mariz Ishiwata brings pride and glory to STI College Novaliches after winning the crown for Mr. & Ms. STI Cluster Finals held at SM Fairview, Activity Center, August 11, 2009. Schools who competed include STI Caloocan, STI Munoz-Edsa, STI Quezon Avenue, and STI Novaliches.

STIers from STI Novaliches celebrated with her.

"I wasn't expecting to win that contest because I thought that the other contestants were much better than me", Ishi said.

After two weeks of preparation, this 17-year old stunner, who loves ramp modeling, proved that she deserved to be the representative of Cluster 3 for STI's National Finals held last August 28 at Enchanted Kingdom.

During the Cluster Finals competition, magnanimous support was given to her by all students of STI Novaliches, most especially her classmates from BA101A who bannered her tarpaulin and posters proudly and untiringly.

We were truly proud of STI's united spirit that day...

We were truly proud of Ishi...
